Do you remember that moment in Clueless when Cher tries on clothes through some type of computer program? That’s essentially what Trendage is. Trendage is a brand new fashion website and app where you can build beautiful looks using products from top retailers. Every clothing item in every look you create is available for purchase from the shops that you love.
Trendage describes in it’s mission statement ” we imagine a future where everyone dresses themselves digitally before engaging with clothing. Step by step we will reach this goal and we invite you to join us on our journey.”
When you get to the home page of the site, you have two options; a women’s button, and a men’s button, so it caters to both sexes. You’re then provided with a model who will serve as your “mannequin” for trying on clothes. There’s a category for tops, bottoms, dresses, handbags, necklaces, and shoes. You can try all those on at once, giving you an overall picture of what your “look” will look like.
I played around with it a little bit and here is what I came up with:
I had a lot of fun playing around with different looks, but I wish that the simulator gave you the option to tuck the top in, because as you can see in the image, the shirt is on the outside instead of tucked in like I would’ve liked. What I love about it though, is you have a TON of options so the selection of clothing and accessories is not limited. Tons of different looks to try.
All of the collections are modern and on trend and there are so many different colors, patterns and textures. I have to admit, I probably online shop more than I shop in an actual store, so this app is actually perfect for me. The only problem I have with online shopping at the moment is not being able to try on the clothes until I get them. This app solves that. If your interested in checking out their site, click on any of the Trendage words above for the link. If you would like to download the app to your smartphone click here. I hope you enjoyed this review!
Would you try this out? What do you think are the pros and cons to this?
